SaaS Marketer exists for one single purpose: to positively impact the growth rate of every SaaS business in the world.
This all started back in 2015 when our founder Tom was faced with a five month period, waiting for the online marketplace he was building… to launch.
Virtual Valley connected online entrepreneurs and Filipino virtual assistants: building the supply side (VA’s) was easy… getting the demand side (online businesses) to the platform was the tricky part.
So what did Tom do?
Simple.
He jumped on his laptop and consumed everything he possibly could about marketing and selling too businesses:
- Blogs
- Podcasts
- Courses
- Conferences
- Mentors
- Masterminds
You name it… he consumed it.
This consumption continues to this day and has since resulted in Tom:
- Producing over 42 growth related guest blog posts
- Launching his own podcast to iTunes New & Noteworthy
- Pitching male leggings to the Dragons’
- Being invited to write on the HubSpot blog
- Launching a book about early SaaS growth that beat Gary V on Amazon (for couple of days!)
- Investing in some early stage software businesses
- Getting paid by Nathan Latka to publish SaaS growth case studies
- Being recognised by peers as a thought leader in the SaaS space
That online marketplace: Virtual Valley was sold and Tom pivoted to a SaaS model called AskTina, which then later pivoted to a different SaaS business called Sneez.
Though the latter two products didn’t do much… the experience helped Tom refine his SaaS growth strategies.
Any success generated through these marketing strategies… Tom attributes to the actionable marketing content he consumed over the past six years. And therefore… to pass on those looking to do the same - we build SaaS Marketer.
